Welcome to Sydney's Sweets. By placing an order, submitting an inquiry, purchasing a gift card, or otherwise using our website at sydneyssweets.com, you agree to these terms.

1. Orders and Payments

All orders are subject to availability and confirmation. Prices listed on the website are in US dollars and include the cost of the product; applicable sales tax (currently 8.875% for New York City) is calculated at checkout.

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. We do not store your credit card information on our servers. By placing an order, you authorize us to charge the payment method provided.

2. Custom Cake Orders and Lead Times

Custom cakes require advance notice. Lead times vary by product and are enforced during checkout. If you need a rush order, please contact us directly. We reserve the right to decline orders that cannot be fulfilled within the requested timeframe.

3. Event Bookings and Deposits

Event and catering orders require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due before delivery or pickup. Deposits are non-refundable if the event is cancelled within 7 days of the event date. For cancellations made more than 7 days before the event, deposits may be refunded at our discretion.

4. Pickup and Delivery

Pickup orders must be collected from our location at 465 Hempstead Ave, West Hempstead, NY 11552 during the scheduled pickup window. Orders not picked up within 24 hours of the scheduled time may be forfeited without refund.

Delivery is available for select areas within Long Island and the NYC metro area. Delivery fees and availability depend on location and are displayed at checkout. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party delivery partners.

Shipped orders use cold-chain packaging for safe transit. Risk of loss transfers to the carrier upon shipment. Please inspect your order upon delivery and contact us within 24 hours with any issues.

5. Refunds and Cancellations

If you are unsatisfied with your order due to a quality issue, please contact us within 24 hours of receipt with photos. We will offer a replacement, store credit, or refund at our discretion.

Standard orders cancelled before production begins are eligible for a full refund. Orders already in production cannot be cancelled.

6. Gift Cards

Digital gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Gift cards are valid for one year from the date of purchase. Lost codes cannot be replaced; please keep your confirmation email. Gift card balances can be checked on our website.

7. Promotional Codes

Promo codes are subject to their specific terms, including minimum order amounts, expiration dates, and usage limits. Promo codes cannot be combined unless explicitly stated. We reserve the right to void promo codes that are abused or obtained through unauthorized means.

8. Loyalty Program

Points earned through our loyalty program are awarded at a rate of 1 point per dollar spent. Points can be redeemed for discounts (100 points = $10 off). Points have no cash value and cannot be transferred. We reserve the right to modify the program terms with reasonable notice.

9. Email Communications

By placing an order, you consent to receive transactional emails (order confirmations, status updates, shipping notifications). Marketing emails are sent only with your explicit opt-in consent. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us directly.

10. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including but not limited to text, images, logos, and designs, is the property of Sydney's Sweets or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sydney's Sweets shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our website or products. Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific order giving rise to the claim.

12. Allergen Disclaimer

Our products are made in a facility that handles common allergens including wheat, eggs, dairy, nuts, and soy. While we take precautions, we cannot guarantee that products are free from allergens. If you have a severe allergy, please contact us before ordering.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Nassau County, New York.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
